Inspiring Curiosity: How Our Books Help Kids Discover the National Parks

We love every opportunity to share our children’s books about national parks in person. At this vendor event, David welcomed families, teachers, and young readers to our table and introduced them to the animals and habitats that make places like Yosemite so special.

Talking with parents about their trips to Yosemite and other parks, hearing children describe their favorite creatures, and learning how teachers want to bring nature stories into the classroom reminded us why these books matter. Each conversation showed how stories about wildlife and natural habitats can spark curiosity, encourage observation, and help children connect with the environment.

Our books, including Frogs on the Mountain, are designed to help young readers discover the mountain yellow-legged frog and other fascinating species in their real habitats. Meeting readers face-to-face brings these stories to life in a way that makes children and families excited to explore and learn more about the national parks.

We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our table, shared a story, and took a book home. These moments remind us why writing and sharing stories about nature is so important.
