Meet Earth Club: Kids’ Climate Optimism Authors Coming to Fig Book Shop

What if the next generation grew up believing they could make a difference for the planet? That's exactly the idea behind Earth Club, a trio of children's book authors on a mission to bring climate optimism to young readers everywhere.

Earth Club is a collaborative group of three authors who write books for kids that celebrate the natural world and trust young readers to handle it and be inspired by it. Our stories don't shy away from the big stuff, but they always come back to wonder. Because that's where change starts.

Research consistently shows that children who feel connected to nature are more likely to grow into environmentally engaged adults. But that connection starts with stories. When kids see characters who love the Earth, solve problems creatively, and find joy in the natural world, it plants a seed. Climate optimism isn't about ignoring hard truths. It's about giving children the emotional foundation to face them with courage and creativity.
