School Author Visits: Reading Children’s Books to Kids in Schools and Outdoors

School visits are our favorite part of being children’s book authors.

We love reading books out loud to kids and watching them settle into a story. You can see it in their faces when something clicks, or when they recognize something from their own world inside the book.

Every group is different. Some are full of questions. Some are quiet but clearly listening closely. Either way, they’re in it.

Reading in schools and sharing stories with kids never gets old.
